The images in the drawing and projection are from my photography work that focuses on the landscape of San Francisco. Cities are constructed landscapes and for this piece, I wanted to construct my own version of San Francisco where I could project dreams, hopes, fears, nightmares, random thoughts, and the inevitable march of time.
This piece consists of a canvas, 8’4″ x 5’3″, with drawn marker outlines of some of San Francisco’s most iconic buildings and structures. The images are from my photography work and have been collected over the past few years. The photos were selected, put into the collage layout, then projected onto the canvas and the outlines were hand drawn. The animations were created with both software (After Effects, Modul8, and Premiere) and stop motion.
